As part of my responsibility of the Moderator/Developer of this website, I feel it is my obligation to share some stuff which is happening on other websites that just wont happen here at TampaCouple. You may consider this shameless promotion but whether I run this site or not, I would still pass on this information.
Keep in mind that TampaCouple is locally owned, developed, and operated. We are a couple who is very active in the lifestyle and we have had the honor of running the nightmoves site for many years.
23.5/7 SIte Monitoring
As you have probably noticed, we take an active part on the site, and we monitor the site 24/7. We hope you have enjoyed a spam free community and we are confident that the majority of our profiles are legitimate individuals who share a common interest.
HOWEVER; not all websites are run like TampaCouples. Several sites, which cater to swingers, are NOT as closely monitored and most do not have necessary security updates making your personal information vulnerable.
Ghost Profiles
Not only do these sites lack security, most of them do not expire dormant profiles making their member count seem very high when actually only a few people ever visit the site. At TampaCouple, any profile, which has not been accessed for 60 days automatically, gets dumped.
Fake Profiles
Some sites go to the extreme and create fake profiles then use automated bots (scripts) to make it appear as though the site is active. Personally, we don’t have the time to create artificial intelligence scripts and we feel that sites that do use these services suck. Not only are we incredible programmers but we also have the technical expertise to see things on the net ;) ;) that others can't easily see.
Stale Sites
Stale ass sites that never change and the members seem just as stale. As you can tell, TampaCouple is a personal project of ours. This is our playground to develop new technologies and put forth new designs. We strive to have the best community with features that are unsurpassed.
As a couple, we have over 20 years professional experience as Human Factors Engineers. WTF is that you ask ?? Well, we are specialists in studying how users interact with systems and then developing optimized interfaces to better suit their needs. A fancy way of saying we develop the way software and websites work. We have worked for companies such as Netscape, America Online, y@hoo, Texas Instruments, Cisco and a few others. It's pretty safe to say we know what we are doing in regards to websites.

Never Delete Sites
The last kind of problem i would like to point out are sites which will not delete your profile (even those which allow the user to do it).
I can't tell you the countless times I have received an urgent message from a user who needs their profile deleted ASAP. We take this very seriously and honor the request as quickly as possible. We have the facilities to administer the site from anywhere via mobile devices and we usually remove a profile within minutes of a user requesting.
Some sites do not honor the request again hoping to boost their member numbers. This practice is horrible but usually legal since you digitally sign a Terms of Service, which gives them the right to leave your profile. There are even some sites, which allow users to delete their own profile, only to have it suddenly come back to life a few months later.
There are two reasons we do not allow users to delete their own profile...
First, with as many requests for deletion we receive; there are also many people who write us back a few hours later asking if we had already removed their account. Yes, second thoughts... We all have them. Since there is no way for us to restore a deleted profile, we require users to ask to be deleted.
Second, we want to make sure all traces of a user are deleted and if can't do that unless we control the process. If someone wants to be deleted, we make sure that any images; forum posts, kisses, messages, etc are also removed.
We’re pretty sure you like the fact that TampaCouple is different and while we’d like to think we are setting the bar for other sites to follow, we hope you will heed our warning and protect your profiles.
