Wow, you're read this blog even though you are pretty sure its going to be one of my rants...

Well, yes it is a rant but its actually unusual as it's about the community.

First remember I am really fucking blunt.  Second, this site doesnt have spell check so forgive my poor spElling.

Ok now on with the show...

A day doesn't go by that I am asked by a member "Why doesnt more happen on the site" or my favorite "nobody talks on the site".

Keep in mind, these are the same people who themselves do not do much on the site.  They may post a picture or two but usually not.  Or they may post a comment here or there...

But is this what the site is all about ???

Isn't it  about public conversation ?  Sharing ?  Or is this simply a showcase of my pictures and programming expertise ??

It's all just totally depressing me...

Until this week, we had no moderators and I do appreciate the effort they are making welcoming members and chatting.  I always love ya'll so don't get me wrong...

But what about the forums ??  I try and start posts or respond when appropriate but I am getting a bit sick of seeing myself everywhere on the site.

What is it ??

Is the site too hard to use ??

I am online practically 24/7 but I get no questions from anyone about how to use the features and I have asked for feedback.  I quickly implement the feedback I receive so I don't think it's a matter of usability.

So what is the damn problem ??

WE have the opportunity to create something awesome here but I can not do it myself.  Personally, I can't continue to foot the bill so we need moderators and donators.

But its much more than that... WE need to be active.  At the very least, post a forum saying hi.  Let everyone know what you are looking for.  Respond to forums.

Like everyone wants, let's get it going or let's knock her down.
